Chinese Lenovo is known for its PC production. It’s in the second position in selling personal computers. This status seems not to satisfy the company because it is trying itself in smartphone market as well. Earlier the manufacturer announced it hopes to sell around 18 million smartphones in 2012. Back then no one believed Lenovo but now that we look at its LePhone K860 high-end handset, we understand everything is possible.
There have been only two smartphones announced with a quad-core Samsung Exynos processor — the Samsung Galaxy S III and the Meizu MX 4-core. Now the Lenovo LePhone K860 joins them. The phone has been spotted in China, so we have a good chance to take a look at it and recall its specs list.

Apart from the quad-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz, the LePhone K860 sports a 5-inch HD (1280×720) touchscreen, an 8MP rear camera with LED flash, a 2MP front-facing camera, 1GB of RAM and 4GB of ROM. It runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and measures 143.6×74.5×9.6 mm.
The phone’s launch is expected to take place in August in China, though we’d like to see it in other markets as well.
