As LG-Google cooperation is going deeper, you shouldn’t get surprised at seeing the Korean manufacturer updating its smartphones more rapidly. Today the company posted on its official website the time-table of the smartphones that will be getting Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Though LG is not the first OEM to upgrade its current models with the latest version of Android, it’s quite pleasant to see the highest-end of LG will be updated to JB. The Samsung Galaxy S handsets have already got their dose of JB, HTC has announced its One series devices will be updated too, so LG should not stay behind its main rival.

Well, the first smartphone to get Android 4.1 Jelly Bean will be the LG Optimus LTE II, which is famous for its 2GB RAM. Though the Galaxy S III sports similar RAM, the LTE2 was the first handset launched with 2GB of RAM, which will never let you run apps out of memory. The updates for this phone will be rolled out next month.

The LG Optimus G will receive JB update in December. These two models will be the only LG smartphones getting JB update until 2013. The other top-end devices of the company, the LG Optimus Vu and its successor will get the update only in the first quarter of 2013, which means it can be delayed until March. Unfortunately, there is no word regarding the LG Optimus 4X HD launched in August.
