All mobile operating system making companies seem to have decided to change the rules of the game. If it is so, then Apple will be in a beneficial position because the rest of the companies will have to play by its rules. If you still do not catch what I am talking about, then get acquainted with the rumor coming in regard to Microsoft.

According to China Times, Microsoft has been working on its own smartphone for a few months now, and it will announce the device in the first half of next year. This rumor has been buzzing for a long time but only China Times has taken responsibility to come up with such a statement. Microsoft has not said anything yet.

Last year Microsoft and Nokia inked a multi-year agreement, which helped Nokia get out from the marsh and Microsoft make its own OS more popular. As a result, many OEMs, which had turned their back against the software giant, began cooperating with it. As for simple users, they got a chance to choose from more WP devices — the Samsung Ativ S, the HTC Windows Phone 8X, the HTC Windows Phone 8S, the Nokia Lumia 920 and the Nokia Lumia 820.

Google has been trying to make its own Nexus line more popular, and though it is still too far from being called iPhone’s competitor, the Nexus smartphones get all the updates first and they sport amazing features. Thus, Microsoft wants to join RIM, Google and Apple. I think it’s both good and it’s bad.
