Sometimes I feel very sorry that non-popular smartphones makers don’t bring their creations to American and European markets because there are cases when those handsets are way better than what we own. For example, I cannot be oblivious of the Oppo Finder — the slimmest smartphone in the world. I fell in love with this stylish device, though I know we will never be united. Today I want to introduce to you another awesome handset, which is considered a competitor to the Samsung Galaxy S III.
Meet the Pantech Vega S5 packed with a 5-inch 720×1280 IPS touchscreen (the S III sports a 4.8-inch display). Thanks to “Zero Bezel” technology, it is narrower than Samsung’s representative. Besides this, it is also packed with a Snapdragon S4 processor, a 13MP rear camera with continuous autofocus and zero shutter lag, a 2100mAh battery providing up to 11 hours of talk-time, and it runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. At the end, you should know the Vega S5 is 6.89mm thick, which is way slimmer than the Samsung Galaxy S III coming with 8.6mm thickness.

This handset is designed for the Korean market. The Pantech Vega S5 is available via SK Telecom and costs SK Telecom ($800). But we are sure it will never be out in other countries because there are many apps and the skin made especially for this market. However, the Galaxy S III won’t fear it in the States and Europe but probably this phone won’t let the S III rest easy in Korea.
