Three smartphones running the Bada 2.0 platform will be introduced by Samsung during the IFA 2011 that will take place in Berlin on September 2-7. These smartphones are known as the Samsung Wave, the Samsung Wave M and the Samsung Wave Y.
The Bada 2.0 OS has improved features compared with its predecessor. Among its features I can mention Near Field Communication (NFC), Wi-Fi Direct support and push notifications. Smartphones with this OS also feature a new UI with more customization options, voice recognition and multi-tasking. Bada 2.0 also comes with the ChatOn mobile communication service.
Samsung Wave 3
The Samsung Wave 3 comes with a 4-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display the resolution of which is 800 x 480 pixels. It also has a 5MP camera and a front facing 0.3MP one. It sports a 1500mAh battery, GPS and GLONASS.
The heart of the Samsung Wave 3 is the 1.4GHz processor and 3GB of internal memory. Among the connectivity features of the device are 802.11 b/g/n WiFi with WiFi Direct and Bluetooth 3.0.
The dimensions of the device are 126 x 64 x 9.9 mm and the weight is 122 grams.

Samsung Wave M
Let me also introduce you the brief specifications of the Samsung Wave M. This high-end smartphone has a 3.65-inch touchscreen display with 480 x 320 pixels resolution. It is equipped with two cameras — a 5MP rear one and a 0.3PM front-facing one. The Samsung Wave M is based on a 832MHz processor. It also features optional NFC and the connectivity specs include 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi Direct supported) and Bluetooth 3.0.
The dimensions of the device are114 x 63 x 12.2 mm and its weight is 121 grams.

Samsung Wave Y
And finally, the Samsung Wave Y has a 3.2-inch touchscreen display the resolution of which is 480 x 320 pixels. It is based on a 832MHz processor. Unlike the previous Wave versions, this one has no front camera and the rear camera is only 2MP.
Among the connectivity specifications are 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0. The dimensions of the Samsung Wave Y are 110 x 58 x 12.3 mm and the weight is 102 grams.
